Inspire Change

Inspire Change is a program created to recognize & strengthen Social Justice efforts within each NFL team market. Social Justice efforts are a year-round focus for the Seahawks in a commitment to address inequities and work to tackle systemic racism, remove barriers, and provide greater access and opportunities for all people of color.

Each year, the Seahawks will spotlight an exceptional individual from the Seattle community and honor their work in the Social Justice space with the Inspire Change Changemaker Award. In 2023, our winner was Dr. Mia Williams: Executive Director of The Office of African American Male Achievement in the Superintendent Office.

Youth Achievement Center

The Youth Achievement Center (YAC) is a housing-first and programming center for South Seattle youth who need a safe and supportive place to call home. YAC will offer more than 45,000 square feet of housing and services to more than 100 young people. Learn more or donate below.

Pilgrimage To The South

Pilgrimage To The South

Seahawks Legends and staff alongside Choose 180 staff, embarked on a weeklong trip to the South for a Black History learning tour confronting our country's history of racism. Led by Sankofa Impact, the group visited numerous southern cites to meet with Civil Rights foot soldiers and activists working in their communities.

16 Lives

16 Lives

"16 Lives," produced with the support of the Seahawks, tells the story of Community Passageway's 30 Days of Peace Program that is trying to reduce gun violence in South King County, which has seen a 50% increase in gun violence compared to the previous 4-year average. In response, Community Passageways, with support of the Seattle City Council, made an urgent call for "30 Days of Peace" and took 16 young men at risk of gun violence out of the city.

In Community, By Community

This 2020 short documentary presented by the Seattle Seahawks, tells the story of Restorative Community Pathways, a program that seeks to alter the current juvenile legal system and instead invest in a community-driven support system. The system focuses on racial equity and care for the youths, their families, those harmed and the community.

Out Of The Fire

This 2019 short documentary presented by the Seattle Seahawks, tells the story of Community Passageways, a Seattle-based felony diversion program that works with school administrators, police departments, justice officials, correctional center staff, religious organizations and families to establish healthy, happy and safe communities.
