RENTON, Wash.– The Seattle Seahawks are currently constructing the Toyota Fan Deck, which will add 1,000 padded seats to the south upper concourse at CenturyLink Field, the club announced today. The Toyota Fan Deck will include two new seating sections and will be completed in time for the 2015 preseason. The expansion project will be privately funded by the Seahawks.
"The Toyota Fan Deck will give the 12s an enhanced game day experience while allowing us to accommodate some of the growing demand for tickets," said Seahawks President Peter McLoughlin. "Toyota has been a great partner of the Seahawks since 2006. With their renewed commitment, together we can create this new seating area for the benefit of our amazing Seahawks fans."
Ticketholders in the new seating sections will have exclusive access to the Toyota Fan Deck, a partially covered open air viewing and gathering area. The exclusive deck will feature a club-like atmosphere with multiple televisions, 8-ft long fireplace, views of the playing field, as well as food and beverage stands. The Toyota Fan Deck will also feature an enhanced 12 Flag raising experience on the roof of a new 12 Flag Pavilion.
"Local Toyota dealers are thrilled to partner with the Seahawks to give the best fans in the NFL something extra to cheer about - an even better fan experience," said Western Washington Toyota Dealer President, Mike O'Brien. "The Toyota Fan Deck will be the perfect place for fans to root on their team in the South End Zone."
Current season ticket holders will have priority to relocate in the Toyota Fan Deck through the seat relocation process in the spring. Remaining seats will be offered to the Blue Pride waiting list, which is capped at 12,000 seats. There are an additional 52,000 on the Blue Pride Notification List.
The Seahawks and Toyota also partner to raise money for Communities In Schools of Washington, donating $500 for every opponent false start at CenturyLink Field. In total, local Toyota dealers have contributed $25,000 to help students throughout King, Pierce and Whatcom County.
The Seahawks worked together with the Public Stadium Authority on this project.
