12 Ways To Celebrate Seahawks Blue Friday

Unique ways to get you ready for the Seahawks' preseason opener against the Denver Broncos.

Can you hear it, 12s?

That buzz in the air is anticipation … and it will build up until it becomes a deafening roar at CenturyLink Field for the 7 p.m. kickoff in Friday's preseason opener against the Denver Broncos. Can it get louder than when Taylor Swift rocked the stadium with Russell Wilson last weekend? Yes, it can.

Because football is back.

Football is back!

Here at Seahawks.com, we're just as excited as you are. It's been a while since the last Blue Friday – 195 days, to be exact. But who's counting? So we came up with a list of 12 things to put you in that Championship Mindset. Let's go!

Listen to one in your car during your commute. Has anyone else noticed that Ciara's "1, 2 Step" has the number "1-2" in it? Ooh wee!

2. Get A Bag Of Skittles From The Vending Machine At Work

Throw them in the air and let them rain down on you like you're Marshawn Lynch in the end zone. Or you could just eat them. Either way, it's a win.

3. Warm Up Your Vocal Cords

It's going to be a long season, and you're out of practice. Maybe don't talk all day. Communicate via scribbled notes on Post-its. Blue and green ones, obviously.

4. Color-Coordinate Your Snacks

Blue tortilla chips with guacamole? Delicious. And avocados are really good for you. You're welcome.

5. Get Your Gear On

Jimmy Graham jerseys are here! If you really want to make the big man feel welcome, you could dye your hair red in solidarity. This also works for Jon Ryan fans. #GingaNinja

6. Once You're Wearing Your Seahawks Best, Show It Off!

Snap a selfie (or twelfie, get it?) and join the fun on Twitter using hashtag #TGIBF (Thank Goodness It's Blue Friday). Then follow #DENvsSEA throughout the game. Are you in?

7. Get To Know The New Guys

During preseason games especially, you'll see some unfamiliar faces (and names) on the field. Like defensive end Obum Gwacham, the sixth-round pick out of Oregon State. His first name is pronounced Oh-BOOM – like "Legion oh-Boom" – and he’s Chipotle’s No. 1 fan.

8. Buy Yourself A Ticket To The Sea Gals Calendar Unveiling On Sunday

It's a great way to keep the Seahawks spirit going all weekend – and into 2016. You've got spirit, yes you do!

9. Take A Moment To Breathe And Prepare Yourself Mentally For The Game

These cute yoga pants might help. Try this "tree pose" - stand on one leg, place the other foot on the opposing inner thigh, and slowly raise both hands straight above your head. Touchdown. Namaste.

10. Get Your Game Face On At American Family Insurance Touchdown City

Face-painting is free and so is admission. Located inside the CenturyLink Field Event Center, Touchdown City is open to all Seahawks fans three hours before each home game.

11. During On-Field Warm-Ups, Practice Your At-Home TD Celebration

If you're hosting a viewing party, hand out prizes for the best dance. Extra points for props. (See #2).

12. While You're At It, Practice Your Rain Dance

The forecast calls for showers. For gameday, at least, fall is in the air. GO HAWKS!

A little rain never stops the 12s from coming out to Seahawks Training Camp presented by Bing.
