The Seahawks signed George Farmer, an undrafted rookie receiver, but will convert the former USC Trojan to defensive back. Tackle Kona Schwenke was waived/injured after suffering a knee injury in Friday night's game at Kansas City.
Farmer, one of the top receiver recruits in the nation out of Junipero Serra High School in Gardena, California, played three seasons at USC, then signed with Dallas as an undrafted free agent. He was waived by the Cowboys last week.
The 6-foot-1, 215 pound Farmer will add depth to a secondary that was missing 10 defensive backs due to injury in Friday night's game.
