Meet the 2015 Seattle Seahawks 53-man roster in photos.
The Seahawks' 53-man roster is officially set.
To get to 53 players, the team terminated the contracts of veteran cornerback Will Blackmon and tight end Anthony McCoy, waived 18 players, including 2015 draft picks Obum Gwacham, Ryan Murphy, and Terry Poole, placed two players on injured reserve, traded an undisclosed 2016 draft pick to the Kansas City Chiefs for safety Kelcie McCray, and put defensive tackle Jesse Williams - who was diagnosed with cancer earlier this offseason - on the reserve/non-football illness list.
McCray originally entered the NFL with the Miami Dolphins in 2012 as an undrafted rookie free agent. He has played in 17 career games with seven tackles (three solo) and one pass defensed, while adding five special teams tackles. He spent time with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in 2013 and was with the Chiefs last season.
Running back Robert Turbin, who suffered a high-ankle sprain in the team's third preseason game, was one of the two players Seattle placed on injured reserve, which means the Seahawks will feature Marshawn Lynch, Christine Michael, and rookie Thomas Rawls at the position to open the year. Veteran running back Fred Jackson, who visited the Seahawks this past week following his release from the Buffalo Bills, has not signed.
On top of Turbin, Seattle also placed cornerback Mohammed Seisay on injured reserve. Seisay, acquired in training camp trade with the Detroit Lions, injured his groin in the preseason opener.
