Well, it happened again.
With the No. 6-seeded Seahawks set to square off against the No. 3-seeded Minnesota Vikings in the wild-card round this Sunday, late-night host Jimmy Fallon directed his latest NFL superlatives segment at the two teams.
Fallon dishes out the yearbook-style awards by judging individual players' team headshots in advance of every Sunday Night Football matchup on NBC, the network that presents his late-night show. The Seahawks' road game against the Vikings serves as NBC's only football broadcast of wild-card weekend, so the two teams were easy targets for Fallon and his team of comedy writers.
Here's a sample of what Fallon had to say about the Seahawks:
Michael Bennett
Most likely to be the love child of Ice Cube and a sheep
Luke Willson (with long hair)
Most likely to disappoint men when he turns around
Marshawn Lynch
Most likely to go see the new 'Star Wars' movie in 6D
Russell Wilson
Most likely to cover your eyes with his hands and yell, "Guess who???"
J.R. Sweezy
Most likely to have never seen 'Making a Murderer' but somehow know all the details
Seattle has played plenty of Sunday Night Football games in recent seasons, so this isn't the first time Fallon has made fun of the Seahawks. The last time he did so, the Seahawks had a response ready, as Bennett, Lynch, Sweezy, Wilson and punter Jon Ryan tossed verbal jabs right back at Fallon.
The Seahawks' superlatives response video has more than half-a-million hits on YouTube, and is embedded for your viewing pleasure below.
