Former Seahawks offensive lineman Alvin Bailey signed with the Cleveland Browns in free agency on Friday. Bailey, who originally signed with Seattle as an undrafted free agent in 2013, appeared in 42 regular-season games, starting eight. Bailey also started two postseason games.
While not a regular starter during his time in Seattle, Bailey was valuable as a versatile backup who could play every position on the line but center—he started games at left guard, left tackle and right tackle, and also played right guard in a reserve role. Bailey also made several appearances as a sixth lineman in jumbo packages.
Bailey is the second Seahawks lineman to leave in free agency this offseason along with guard J.R. Sweezy, who signed with Tampa Bay last week. Left tackle Russell Okung is also an unrestricted free agent who has yet to sign with a team.
