Seahawks Sign Cornerback Tye Smith To Practice Squad; Release Defensive End Tylor Harris

The Seahawks made a practice squad roster move Thursday, re-signing 2015 fifth-round draft pick Tye Smith to the practice squad.

The Seahawks made a practice squad roster move on Thursday, re-signing cornerback Tye Smith and releasing defensive end Tylor Harris.

Smith, a 2015 fifth-round draft pick of Seattle's, was one of 17 players waived on the team's roster cutdown to 53 players this past Saturday. The 6-foot, 195-pound Towson product was inactive on the Seahawks' 53-man roster for much of his rookie season, playing in three games on special teams only, with his first action coming in Week 3 against the Chicago Bears.

Harris, meanwhile, a rookie out of Wake Forest, originally joined the Seahawks this past August. He was waived alongside Smith during the NFL-mandated roster reduction last weekend, but signed to Seattle's practice squad on Monday.

The Seahawks face the Miami Dolphins at Lumen Field during Week 3 of the 2024 season. Take a look back through history at the Seahawks' matchups against the Dolphins.
