Seahawks Make Practice Squad Roster Moves, Bring Back Former University of Washington Wide Receiver Kevin Smith

The Seahawks made practice squad roster moves on Tuesday, bringing back former University of Washington wide receiver Kevin Smith.

The Seahawks made a change to their practice squad Tuesday, signing former University of Washington receiver Kevin Smith and releasing running back Zac Brooks and fullback Malcolm Johnson.

Smith spent last season with the Seahawks, starting the year on the practice squad before earning a mid-season promotion to the 53-man active roster. Smith appeared in seven games, starting one, and had 3 catches for 43 yards while also contributing on special teams. Smith was with the Seahawks in training camp this year, but battled a hamstring injury that eventually caused him to be placed on injured reserve before the start of the season.

Brooks, who the Seahawks selected in the seventh round of this year's draft, and Johnson, a 2015 sixth-round pick out of Mississippi State, were both signed to the practice squad last week as the Seahawks dealt with depth concerns at running back due to injuries.

The Seahawks currently have one open spot on their practice squad.
