The Seahawks' No. 1 wideout is the first and only receiver to show up thus far on NFL Network's countdown of the Top 100 Players of 2017, which unveiled players ranked No. 100-81 on Monday night.
As determined solely by the votes of NFL players, Doug Baldwin checked in at No. 88 on the list, which received the most votes from current NFL players in the seven-season run of the Top 100 series.
Baldwin, who came in at No. 72 last year, led the Seahawks in receiving in 2016, establishing career-highs with 94 catches for 1,128 yards to top the career marks he set a year ago while also earning a trip to his first Pro Bowl. Baldwin's 94 catches tied former Seattle wideout Bobby Engram's franchise record for receptions in a single season and his seven receiving touchdowns led all Seahawks pass catchers.
While Baldwin has been one of Seattle's most productive receivers since entering the League as an undrafted free agent in 2011, his initial Top 100 debut didn't come until last year following a season that saw him set then career-highs in catches (78), receiving yards (1,069) and touchdowns (14).
Baldwin represents Seattle's first inclusion on the Top 100 list this year, but the club had six players make the cut in 2016 and a League-high eight players make the list the year before, so there's a strong chance more Seahawks will show up on the Top 100 list when the it continues each Monday on NFL Network through June 26, when the top 10 players will be revealed in a special two-hour edition.
