Another part of the intrigue surrounding Seattle Seahawks training camp is that sometimes you never know who might show up.
Rapper Kendrick Lamar was a special guest on the second day of practice at Renton's Virginia Mason Athletic Center on Monday. Lamar, who is performing Tuesday evening at the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, Wash., is good friends with Seahawks linebacker Bobby Wagner. The two broke down the team huddle after practice.
Lamar is the latest of many well-known faces to pass through Seahawks training camp over the years. The Seahawks have receieved vists from Golden State Warriors head coach Steve Kerr and Milwaukee Bucks head coach and NBA legend Jason Kidd, to name a few.
Seahawks safety Kam Chancellor and running back Eddie Lacy were both shocked by how small Lamar was when they saw him in-person.
"At first I didn't even see him," Chancellor said. "I didn't know he was that small. I couldn't even see him in the crowd. But I think it's pretty cool man just to have a guy like that out here. That's so many guys' favorite rapper. I like him as a rapper and like what he's about."
Added Lacy: "I had no idea he was here until he walked into the huddle. And I was like, 'Whoa, who is that?' He had his hood on. I was like, 'Oh, that's Kendrick.' Didn't expect him to be too short though."

Chancellor noted that Lamar is currently shooting a documentary.
"I think it's pretty cool for guys to be a part of it and for him to come out here and shoot it with this team," Chancellor said.
