The Seahawks added depth at cornerback Friday, acquiring Justin Coleman from the New England Patriots for a 2018 seventh-round pick. Tight end Steve Donatell was waived to make room on the 90-man roster.

Coleman, 24, appeared in 20 games for the Patriots over the past two seasons, starting three of them, and has 29 tackles and eight passes defensed.

Coleman originally signed with the Minnesota Vikings as an undrafted free agent out of Tennessee in 2015. He very briefly was on Seattle's practice squad in September of 2015, then was signed to the Patriots active roster from Seattle's practice squad later that month.
