We increase and retain Black representation throughout all levels of our organization: forming a racial equity and social justice committee comprised of players, legends, coaches, and leadership. We implement mentorship and leadership opportunities for all Black employees.

Combat Racism Through Education and Awareness

We engage employees in anti-racism training and amplify Black voices through our partnerships. We lead crucial conversations related to racial equity internally, and participate in an annual day of service dedicated to giving back to the Black community.

Inspire Change

Inspire Change is a program created to recognize & strengthen Social Justice efforts within each NFL team market. Social Justice efforts are a year-round focus for the Seahawks in a commitment to address inequities and work to tackle systemic racism, remove barriers, and provide greater access and opportunities for all people of color.

Each year, the Seahawks will spotlight an exceptional individual from the Seattle community and honor their work in the Social Justice space with the Inspire Change Changemaker Award. In 2023, our winner was Dr. Mia Williams: Executive Director of The Office of African American Male Achievement in the Superintendent Office.

The Youth Achievement Center x Seattle Seahawks

Youth Achievement Center

The Youth Achievement Center (YAC) is a housing-first and programming center for South Seattle youth who need a safe and supportive place to call home. YAC will offer more than 45,000 square feet of housing and services to more than 100 young people. Learn more or donate below.

Creative Justice

Creative Justice

Creative Justice builds community with youth most impacted by the school-to-prison-(to-deportation) pipeline. Participants and mentor artists work together to examine the root causes of incarceration, like systemic racism and other forms of oppression, creating art that articulates the power and potential of our communities.
