SANTA CLARA, Calif.—The Seahawks had three key starters listed as questionable on Friday's injury report, but head coach Pete Carroll expressed optimism at the time that receiver Doug Baldwin, safety Bradley McDougald and defensive tackle Jarran Reed would all be able to play. And indeed all three are active for Sunday's game against the San Francisco 49ers.
Baldwin missed last week's game with a hip injury, but was able to practice Thursday and Friday. Reed is dealing with an oblique injury, while McDougald has been dealing with a sore knee for much of the season.
The Seahawks have four players inactive due to injury, running back Rashaad Penny (knee), guard D.J. Fluker (hamstring), linebacker K.J. Wright (knee) and safety Maurice Alexander (concussion).
With Fluker out, Jordan Simmons is expected to make his second straight start, and the third in his career, at right guard. Wright's absence, along with the loss of Mychal Kendricks to a season-ending injury, means Austin Calitro will likely go back to the starting role at weakside linebacker
