While home in Orange, Texas for his annual football camp, Seahawks safety Earl Thomas added an engagement to the weekend's festivities.

The fourth annual Earl Thomas Free Football Camp included a little extra excitement when the Seahawks' All-Pro safety hosted campers in his hometown of Orange, Texas.

In addition to donating $10,000 to his high school and treating campers to a star-studded lineup of coaches that included Richard Sherman, Kam Chancellor, Marshawn Lynch, Chiefs running back Jamaal Charles and Packers safety Ha Ha Clinton-Dix, Thomas also got engaged to Nina, with whom he has a daughter, Kaleigh Rose. Thomas and Nina are high school sweethearts, so proposing at West Orange-Stark High School was only fitting, Thomas said.

"That's my high school sweetheart," Thomas told KFDM News. "I was thinking to myself, I think I come alive when I'm around this environment, so what a perfect way to top this off. We were there, me and her."

Thomas said everyone was surprised by the engagement: "Nobody knew. I just felt it. I told my agent, get the ring out of the car, and I did it."

Thomas isn't the only recently engaged member of Seattle's secondary. Last week, Richard Sherman posted a photo on Instagram from Maui referring to longtime girlfriend Ashley, with whom he has a son, as his fiancé, and last season safety DeShawn Shead got engaged on the field following Seattle's win over Denver.

Soon enough, Seattle's secondary might be known as the Legion of Groom.
