Injuries and bye weeks continue to challenge fantasy leaguers as we head into NFL Week 7. The Bills, Jaguars, Commanders and Chargers are all off this week, and fantasy victories will truly be earned.
As always, we provide the best streamers and plug-in players to consider for weekly lineups. Analysis is based on PPR scoring formats, and players are listed in general order of lineup preference at each position.
Also, we spotlight the Seahawks' RB situation, and how to handle the situation for fantasy purposes.
Running Backs – Fantasy Football Week 7
START Ollie Gordon II, Dolphins: Miami is winless, but is facing a familiar rival at the Jets, and a team looking for its first victory against a divisional opponent can be dangerous. The Jets defense ranks 24th against the run, and Gordon has performed well even though opponents know he is Miami's best offensive player right now.
Gordon rushed for TDs in each of the past three games, and he is averaging 5.0 yards per carry. He is a physical runner who can also break loose for big runs. Gordon can score from anywhere on the field and should be locked in as a top 12 fantasy RB for Week 7.
START Bucky Irving, Buccaneers: Reports at publishing time indicated that Baker Mayfield has a good chance to return from a thumb injury against Carolina. The Panthers' run defense ranks 27th in the NFL, and Irving has both a good matchup and he must ease pressure on Mayfield in his possible return. Start Irving confidently as an RB2 if Mayfield is active.
START Quinshon Judkins, Browns: The Cleveland RB is off the injury report for Week 7 after sitting out with an ankle injury in the previous game. The Browns are on the rise, partly powered by a promising young offensive core. Judkins is an essential part of that core, and we have yet to see his best form in 2026. He could deliver his best outing of the season so far against the Titans, who rank 22nd in rushing defense.
START Zonovan Knight, Cardinals: Any team that faces the Broncos has an opportunity to run the ball effectively. In a week where injuries and byes are still causing many fantasy managers to scramble for lineup options, "Bam" Knight is a viable plug-in option.
Denver ranks last in the AFC in rushing yards allowed per game, and Knight is expected to be the main ball carrier for Arizona on early downs. He can be used for decent possible volume as an RB2 or flex fill-in. Tyler Allgeier might work on third downs and in passing situations, but with Jeremyiah Love out, Knight might have a better chance of getting into the end zone.
More Week 7 fantasy football RB insights: The Jets' Braelon Allen is an RB1 play vs. Miami. … The Steelers' Jaylen Warren is performing better than ever, and he will face New Orleans' league-worst run defense. … If Jordan Mason returns as expected, start him for rushing TD potential in a good matchup vs. the Colts. … Josh Jacobs is returning this week and can be good for one or two TD runs in a higher-scoring game against the Lions.
Seahawks running backs fantasy update: Zach Charbonnet was ruled out for Sunday Night's game vs. Kansas City. It is apparent the team is sticking to a plan to carefully monitor Charbonnet as he nears a return. While fantasy players may have been hoping Charbonnet would play against the Chiefs, the news came two days before game day, giving fantasy leaguers ample time to adjust their lineups.
The careful handling of Charbonnet does bode well for his fantasy outlook going forward, as he obviously is not being rushed back into action. Keep him in mind as a flex option when he returns for dependable TD production. When Jadarian Price returns, both he and Charbonnet will be worthy of fantasy RB3/flex consideration.
Those who held onto Emanuel Wilson can consider starting him as a Week 7 fantasy RB streamer in situations where there is a deeper need at RB. He is a top 35 fantasy RB for Week 7.
Wide Receivers – Fantasy Football Week 7
And now, a message from Pro Football Focus, updating us on the continued stratospheric fantasy production of Jaxon Smith-Njigba. No Seahawks player has delivered such regularly elite fantasy football production since Shaun Alexander was in his prime.
START Jalen Coker, Panthers: He was a preseason breakout candidate mentioned by many fantasy analysts, and Coker is showing that he is capable of delivering on expectations. In the first week of the season, he led all fantasy WRs with 33.8 PPR points, and last week Coker was targeted 13 times and finished with 97 receiving yards.
Carolina leads the NFL in passing offense so far this season, and Coker is rapidly emerging as the best fantasy WR on a breakout offense. He is a must-start in what could be a prolific passing matchup against Tampa Bay, as both teams throw often.
START Jordan Addison, Vikings: Minnesota's No. 2 WR appears set to return from a hamstring injury, and the Vikings should be able to effectively move the ball against a Colts team that is very beatable right now. Indianapolis ranks 21st in Fantasy Points Per Game allowed to WRs. Addison is an upside play for Week 7.
START Carnell Tate, Titans: The Tennessee rookie has been showing real signs of progress recently, finishing as the No. 11 WR in fantasy scoring in two of the past three games. Tate was targeted 24 times over the past three games and caught his first pro TD pass last week.
Tennessee fields the lowest-ranked passing offense in the NFL. But Tate was drafted to improve that outlook and clearly will dominate targets enough to be worthy of streaming consideration.
START Konata Mumpfield, Rams: Los Angeles is dealing with significant issues at WR, and Mumpfield is likely going to be pressed into more action against the Raiders. Las Vegas ranks 27th in Fantasy Points Per Game allowed to WRs.
This should be an opportunity for Mumpfield to step forward as a fill-in fantasy WR. In Week 3 against the stout Denver pass defense, he caught a 48-yard TD pass and finished with 93 receiving yards.
More Week 7 fantasy football WR insights: Denver's Jaylen Waddle gets a good fantasy draw against Arizona, so monitor him and see if he takes advantage of the matchup. If so, he can be started in good matchups going forward. … The Giants are making a QB change, but Malik Nabers should still be a top 15 WR option against an up-and-down Houston pass defense.
Christian Kirk is expected to make his 49ers debut this week, and he can be started as a deeper bye week or injury fill-in. … Cleveland's Denzel Boston is a good fantasy WR2 upside option against Tennessee. … Tampa Bay will be without Emeka Egbuka, so Ted Hurst III becomes an interesting flex play against Carolina. … Xavier Worthy is a top option for Kansas City right now, but the Seahawks defense ranks second in FFPG allowed to WRs, so you consider another starting choice.
Quarterbacks – Fantasy Football Week 7
START Jordan Love, Packers: This is a week where top fantasy QBs such as Josh Allen and Trevor Lawrence are unavailable, so Love climbs up the rankings ladder to top 5 fantasy QB territory. No team allows more FFPG to QBs than Detroit, and the Packers have hit their stride at WR with the dangerous duo of Christian Watson and Matthew Golden.
The only QBs I ranked ahead of Love this week on RotoBaller.com are Brock Purdy, Drake Maye and Dak Prescott. The Lions rank last in the NFL in passing defense.
START Aaron Rodgers, Steelers: Fantasy players must start taking Rodgers seriously again. He is a top 10 fantasy QB for NFL Week 7 against a New Orleans defense that ranks 25th against the pass. Rodgers has piled up 11 TD passes in his last four games, with three outings of three TD passes during that span. In each of those three games, he finished as a fantasy QB1, including weekly finishes of eighth and third.
Tight Ends – Fantasy Football Week 7
START Tyler Higbee, Rams: The injuries at WR might force Matthew Stafford to lean even more on his TEs, and Higbee is the most proven pass-catcher in the crew. The Raiders rank 26th in FFPG allowed to TEs.
START Kenyon Sadiq, Jets: If you are looking for a deeper option at TE for Week 7, the Jets rookie may fit the bill. No AFC team allows more FFPG to TEs than Miami, and Sadiq might reward those who start him with a TD reception.
