Indianapolis serves as the center of the NFL universe this week, as more than 300 of college football's top professional prospects descend upon the Indiana capital in hopes of impressing coaches and personnel staff from each of the league's 32 teams at the annual Scouting Combine. While many players will come away from this week's event remembering the grueling off-the-field interviews and medical evaluations, the news that comes from the media availabilities with coaches and general managers as well as the players' on-the-field workouts are the elements NFL fans will have the most access to.
This week, Seahawks general manager John Schneider will meet with the media from the combine at 8:15 a.m. PT on Wednesday, February 27, while Seattle head coach Pete Carroll will field questions in Indy at 9 a.m. PT on Thursday, February 28. Each press conference will be streamed live on Seahawks.com and via the club's social media channels, with team reporter John Boyle on site ready to share some of each day's biggest storylines with our site's readers.
When it comes to the combine's on-field drills, NFL Network and the NFL Media group will provide extensive coverage throughout the week, beginning on Friday, March 1 with running backs, offensive linemen, and special teams. The network's combine coverage continues Saturday, March 2 with quarterbacks, wide receivers, and tight ends and again on Sunday, March 3 with defensive linemen and linebackers before concluding on Monday, March 4 with defensive backs. Live workout coverage begins early each day (at 6 a.m. PT and 7 a.m. PT depending on the day), but NFL Network also plans to re-air the day's events in the afternoon hours. Workout results, meanwhile, will be posted on NFL.com within 30-45 minutes after each workout session wraps up.
