Kam Chancellor and Frank Clark Inactive For Seahawks vs Falcons

The Seahawks will be without safety Kam Chancellor and defensive end Frank Clark when they host the Falcons Sunday.

The Seahawks will face the league's No. 1 offense minus two important pieces of their defense. Strong safety Kam Chancellor (groin) and defensive end Frank Clark (hamstring) are both inactive for Sunday's game, the result of injuries sustained in practice earlier in the week.

With Chancellor out, Kelcie McCray will get his first start of the season. McCray started the last three games of the regular season last year in place of an injured Chancellor.

"Kelcie is always ready to step in," Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said Friday. "Kelcie has done great stuff whenever he has stepped in. He has really been one of our leaders on special teams since the first day he got here, and whenever we give him a chance (at safety), he has done great. So we're very fortunate to have him."

While not a starter, Clark has been a big part of the defensive line rotation and is tied for the team lead with three sacks. Also out due to injuries are running back C.J. Prosise (wrist), running back Thomas Rawls (fibula) and defensive tackle Quinton Jefferson (thumb).

Rookie tight end Nick Vannett is active for the first time after missing the first four games of the season with an ankle injury. Defensive tackle Garrison Smith, who was listed as questionable with an oblique injury, is active.
