During his first day at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center, Roy Robertson-Harris spoke with the media after being traded to the team on Monday.

Less than 24 hours since he got off a plane from London, defensive tackle Roy Robertson-Harris was at the podium Wednesday afternoon for a press conference.

"Just adjusting to the time," Robertson-Harris said. "And it's pretty surreal being with a new team when I just played for another on Sunday."

Like he alluded to, Robertson-Harris just played in the Jacksonville Jaguars international game vs. the Chicago Bears in London on Sunday.

"I'm blessed to be able to continue to play the game I love, I put my life into. And meeting everybody today has been great. My new teammates, new coaches and everything and it's exciting."

Robertson-Harris was met by new teammates, but also with a couple of familiar faces going into the Seahawks locker room, with former teammates in Trevis Gipson and Rayshawn Jenkins both having spent time with Robertson-Harris in Jacksonville.

Before Robertson-Harris got to the facility, Gipson said, "Me and him were so tight man, when he gets here it will be like I saw him yesterday."

The two spent the offseason in Jacksonville together before Gipson was traded to Seattle in August.

"I mean the type of guy he is, he's a relentless worker," Gipson said on Robertson-Harris. "Family guy, real down to earth, real respectful guy, but he works hard, he makes sure he takes care of business, he shares his experience with younger players, which is a good thing from the young guys that we have on the front, and besides that man he just plays with a chip on his shoulder, he's from a small school and he works hard."

Over his career, Robertson-Harris has appeared in 106 games with 62 starts after being an undrafted free agent out of UTEP in 2016.

"He leaves it all out on the field," Gipson said "Small school, so he has that chip on his shoulder."

Robertson-Harris added, "Guys, look at me and go 'Oh, he went to UTEP (University of Texas-El Paso).' I know a lot of guys I played with who are still playing in this league that went to UTEP. I always play with a chip on my shoulder just to prove that I'm here respectfully."

And for fans who might not be familiar with Robertson-Harris' game, he said "I feel like I bring a lot of violence. Just get-off to this defensive line. Obviously, this front is very talented and well-known. I feel like I bring a lot of violence and get-off, pretty solid in the run game. The pass rush is pretty solid, bringing a lot of energy on the field, (in) practice and Sundays. So, like I said, I'm super excited to be here."

The Seahawks held a practice on Wednesday, October 16 at the Virginia Mason Athletic to prepare for their upcoming Week 7 matchup at Atlanta.
