Nine Huskies, Three Cougars Among List Of 2019 NFL Scouting Combine Participants 

The list of 338 NFL Scouting Combine invitees includes nine players from the University of Washington and three from Washington State.

The list of invitees to the 2019 Scouting Combine was released on Thursday, and included in the 338 NFL draft hopefuls are 12 players who played their college football in the state of Washington, nine from the University of Washington and three from Washington State University.

The NFL Scouting Combine, which takes place from February 26 to March 4 in Indianapolis, is a showcase for college football's top draft-eligible prospects and is attended by coaches and talent evaluators from the Seahawks and the league's other 31 teams.

Here's the full list of University of Washington invitees:

QB Jake Browning

LB Ben Burr-Kirven

DL Greg Gaines

RB Myles Gaskin

T Kaleb McGary

CB Jordan Miller

CB Byron Murphy

S Taylor Rapp

TE Drew Sample

And the list of Washington State invitees:

T Andre Dillard

QB Gardner Minshew

RB James Williams

Of that group, five played their high school football in Washington. From Washington, Gaskin is from Lynnwood and played at O'Dea High School, McGary played at Fife High School, Rapp played at Bellingham's Sehome High School, and Sample played at Newport in Bellevue. Washington State's Dillard played at Woodinville High School.

Another player with Washington ties is Spokane native Brett Rypien, a quarterback out of Boise State who is the nephew of former Super Bowl MVP and Pro-Bowl quarterback Mark Rypien.
