Optimism On Noah Fant, Rayshawn Jenkins Likely To Be Activated & Other Seahawks Injury Updates

Injury updates from Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald ahead of his team’s Week 12 game against the Arizona Cardinals.

The Seahawks host the Cardinals Sunday in another important game for their hopes in the NFC West race, and they'll be heading into the game with a mostly healthy roster.

Tight end Brady Russell, who also missed last weekend's game with a foot injury, is the only player ruled out for Sunday's game, while receiver Laviska Shenault Jr. (back) and tight end Noah Fant (groin) are listed as questionable.

Fant, who has missed the past two games, was a full participant in Friday's practice, as was Shenault, and Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald expressed optimism that Seattle's top tight end will be able to play Sunday.

"Noah's questionable right now," Macdonald said. "Optimistic I'd say right now, but we're still working through how much (he'll play), if he can, all that type of stuff. We won't take it to the game, we'll know tomorrow."

The Seahawks are also likely to get safety Rayshawn Jenkins back after he practiced all week. Jenkins has been on injured reserve for the past four games due to a hand injury.

"Jenks, I think we're activating him tomorrow to play in the game," Macdonald said. "He looks good."

Tackle Abraham Lucas, who made his 2024 debut last week, playing 42 of 60 offensive snaps, practiced fully on Friday and is ready to take on a bigger workload, Macdonald said.

"We're on plan here for probably a bigger game load," Macdonald said. "How much that is, we're still making that decision right now. We're excited about him."

Not on the injury report with a game status is rookie cornerback Dee Williams, Seattle's punt returner and one of two primary kick returners. Williams exited last week's game with an ankle injury, but was able practice Thursday and Friday and show he's ready to go.

Asked if Uchenna Nwosu, who has been on injured reserve for the past five games with a thigh injury, is ready to return to practice next week, Macdonald said, "I don't know about next week, no."

The Seahawks practiced again on Thursday, November 21 at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center as they get set to host the NFC West leading Arizona Cardinals at Lumen Field.
