The Seahawks practiced again without Geno Smith, with Saturday marking his fourth straight day sidelined by an injury that occurred in Tuesday's practice, but Seattle's Pro-Bowl quarterback is expected to be back soon.
"I think he's good," Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald said. "We're still going through that process, but it looks optimistic."
Asked if Smith will be back next week, Macdonald answered, "I think there's a good chance we'll see him next week."
Macdonald added Smith is still having some tests done, saying, "I believe there's another one today."
Macdonald also gave an update on linebacker Jerome Baker, who missed Saturday's practice.
"He had a little bit of a hammy, so we're working through that right now," he said. "I'm not sure how long it's going to be."
The Seahawks held a practice on Friday, August 2 as they prepare for Saturday's Football Fest at Lumen Field.
