Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson threw out the first pitch at Wednesday's Seattle Mariners game at Safeco Field.

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson threw out the ceremonial first pitch Wednesday afternoon at Safeco Field as part of Why Not You Day, which raised money for Wilson’s foundation that specializes in empowering change in the world.

For Why Not You Day, $12 of every ticket sold benefited the foundation and fans received a special Why Not You t-shirt when purchasing tickets with the promo code "RUSSELL."

Wilson, who spent time in the Colorado Rockies' farm system before becoming the Seahawks' franchise quarterback, delivered a strike to Mariners All-Star MVP second baseman Robinson Cano at home plate before Seattle hosted the Boston Red Sox. Here are clips from the moment today:
