The Seahawks added another linebacker on Wednesday, claiming Josh Ross who was waived Tuesday by the Ravens.
The addition of Ross comes on the same day the Seahawks agreed to a trade with the Titans for linebacker Ernest Jones IV in exchange for linebacker Jerome Baker and draft pick compensation.
Tackle Stone Forsythe, who missed last week's game with a hand injury, was placed on injured reserve to make room on the 53-man roster.
Ross, 24 signed with the Ravens as an undrafted free agent in 2022, meaning he has spent the past three seasons playing for Seahawks coach Mike Macdonald, who was Michigan's defensive coordinator in 2021, Ross' final season with the Wolverines, before returning to the Ravens as defensive coordinator in 2022.
Ross has appeared in 12 games over the past two and a half seasons, playing 243 snaps on special teams over that span. Ross played in all seven of the Ravens' games before being waived Tuesday, playing 67 percent of Baltimore's special teams snaps and recording five special teams tackles, which was tied for a team high.
