On the first day of Seahawks training camp, green was the new white.
When the Seattle defense took to the practice field at Renton's Virginia Mason Athletic Center, it did so sporting a unique look. The club replaced its traditionally white practice jerseys with some action-green digs, colored the same shade as the hawk-eye in Seattle's logo.

The Seahawks sported a similar look in a 2009 regular-season game against the Chicago Bears, a year when green was used as the club's alternate jersey. But Friday marked the first time the team has worn the color on the practice field, where the offense and defense have always gone head-to-head in some variation of white versus blue.
Seattle's white practice jerseys aren't getting shelved in favor of its green counterpart, though. The Seahawks will rotate the white, green, and blue as they see fit, and the initial day of training camp provided the perfect opportunity to introduce fans to a new hue.
