The Seahawks made a roster move Tuesday, adding secondary depth by promoting cornerback Kalan Reed from their practice squad. Linebacker Emmanuel Ellerbee was waived to make room on the 53-man roster.
Reed, a 5-foot-11, 199-pound cornerback, was signed to Seattle's practice squad last month. A first-team All-Conference USA selection as a senior at Southern Mississippi, Reed was selected by the Tennessee Titans with the last pick of the 2016 draft and appeared in seven games during the 2016 and 2017 seasons.
Ellerbee was claimed off waivers by Seattle last month, and appeared in one game, playing 13 snaps on special teams in last weekend's loss to the Chargers.
