Russell Wilson's ability to function on less sleep than the average person is well documented, and should serve him well as he prepares for his latest challenge: new fatherhood.
Wilson and his wife, Ciara, announced Tuesday that they are expecting their first child together. The couple shared the happy news via social media on Ciara's 31st birthday.
On Wednesday morning, Wilson referenced the impending arrival with his daily Bible verse on Twitter:

And former Seahawk Nate Burleson and current host of Good Morning Football on NFL Network congratulated the pair Wednesday morning on the show while quoting Ciara's hit song, "1, 2 Step."
"Speaking of supersonic ... supersonic hypnotic funky fresh - that's a line from Ciara's old song from back in the day. Congratulations to them, she posted a picture of her and Russell Wilson, I believe she's pregnant. So if that is true, congratulations [from] Good Morning Football to that family and the new baby on the way."
The Seahawks quarterback and Grammy Award-winning singer wed July 6 at Peckforton Castle in Chesire, England, in a ceremony attended by Jimmy Graham and former Seahawk Robert Turbin. Fans had been anticipating baby news recently after Ciara appeared in a peplum top while co-hosting Live with Kelly on Oct. 19. The couple has not announced a due date.
