The Seahawks added a versatile piece to their secondary in the fourth round, selecting Oregon defensive back Ugo Amadi with pick No. 132 overall.
Amadi was listed as a safety when drafted, but at Oregon he played cornerback, nickel and safety, a good indicator that he may be a candidate to play multiple positions.
Asked what position he's expecting to play in Seattle, Amadi said, "They want me to do everything. Nickel, corner, safety, special teams. Everything. A Swiss Army Knife... My versatility is my strength."
Amadi was an honorable mention All-Pac-12 selection each of the past two seasons, and last year recorded 55 tackles, five for loss, three interceptions, two of which were returned for touchdowns, 1.5 sacks and eight pass breakups.
Amadi, who is 5-foot-9, 201 pounds, also returned 14 punts last season, scoring once while averaging 15.9 yards per return.
The Seahawks selected Oregon safety Ugo Amadi with the No. 132 overall pick in the 2019 NFL Draft.
