The Seahawks made a couple changes to the roster prior to Day 6 of training camp, signing linebacker Josh Forrest and cornerback Jeremy Boykins. Safety Alex Carter and tight end Je'Ron Hamm were waived to make room on the 90-man roster.

Forrest, who is 6-foot-3, 249 pounds, spent part of last season with the Seahawks, initially signing to the practice squad in November before earning a call-up to the 53-man roster. Forrest, a sixth-round pick in 2016, appeared in two games before landing on injured reserve in December. In 2016, Forrest played in 10 games for the Los Angeles Rams, starting four. He recorded 9 tackles and a pass defensed in those 10 games.

Boykins, who is 6-foot-2, 183 pounds, signed with Tennessee as an undrafted free agent out of UCF in 2017 and later spent time on the Titans' practice squad.

Carter, a third-round pick in the 2015 draft, had two stints on Seattle's practice squad last season, then was signed to a future contract following the end of the season. Hamm signed with Seattle last week prior to the start of camp.

Boykins will wear No. 1, while Forrest will wear No. 47. In other jersey number news, J.R. Sweezy, who was signed Wednesday, will wear No. 64, the same number he wore in his first stint with the Seahawks. Jordan Roos, who previously wore that number, is switching to 72, and Skyler Phillips will switch from 72 to 63.
