Seahawks Sign FB Will Tukuafu; Waive FB Jonathan Amosa

The Seahawks re-signed fullback Will Tukuafu, who has spent the last two seasons in Seattle.

The Seahawks have re-signed fullback Will Tukuafu, bringing back a versatile player who has contributed on offense, defense and special teams over the past two seasons. Fullback Jonathan Amosa was waived to make room on the 90-man roster.

Tukuafu, 32, spent his first four seasons in San Francisco before signing with the Seahawks in 2014. He has appeared in 23 games with Seattle over the past two seasons, starting three. Last season Tukuafu scored his first two career touchdowns, one on the ground and the other on what was just his second career reception. In addition to providing a physical presence at fullback, the 6-foot-2, 280-pound Tukuafu has also filled in at defensive tackle and played a significant role on special teams.

Amosa, who played at the University of Washington, signed earlier this month and saw playing time at fullback in both of Seattle's preseason games.
