The Seattle Seahawks announced the signing of veteran wideout and Olympian Marquise Goodwin. The speedy receiver appeared in 12 games for the Chicago Bears in 2021, with 20 receptions and 313 receiving yards and a touchdown. The former Texas Longhorn looks to bring his uncanny speed to Seattle's offense. With a career average of 16.5 yards per catch, Goodwin possesses the ability to both beat teams deep and rack up yards in the open field.
Since 2020, Goodwin has spent time with the Philadelphia Eagles, San Francisco 49ers and Bears, while opting out the 2020 season due to the COVID-19 pandemic. In his breakout 2017 season with San Francisco, Goodwin caught 56 passes for 962 yards and 2 touchdowns. Off the field, Goodwin has been consistent in his attempts to achieve Olympic Gold after a decorated college career as a two-time National long jump champion. In 2015, Goodwin placed Silver at the 2015 Pan American Games (Long Jump). Goodwin competed in the 2020 Olympic trials, but failed to make the qualifier.
