  • Won Seahawks Man of the Year or the Steve Largent Award
  • Currently leads a career major statistical category, such as Most Receiving Yards in a Career
  • Part of an iconic moment in Seahawks history

For the next few weeks, on Wednesdays and Fridays, while voting is open, we will take a look at each position group of eligible players. We've already taken a look at quarterbacks and running backs and today we're looking at wide receivers.

The Seahawks have a list of 15 wide receivers that are eligible for the Top 50. Seattle has had iconic receivers that have donned the Seahawks uniform, like Steve Largent, whose name is found all through the Seahawks record book. And also now have current receivers in Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf, who have become a staple of the Seahawks offense. Of the list of the 15 receivers eligible for the Top 50, the group has six Pro Bowlers, a Hall of Famer, an NFL Walter Payton Man of the Year and three Super Bowl champions. Here is the full list of receivers eligible for the Top 50:

  • Doug Baldwin
  • Alex Bannister
  • Brian Blades
  • Nate Burleson
  • Bobby Engram
  • Joey Galloway
  • Darrell Jackson
  • Paul Johns
  • Jermaine Kearse
  • Steve Largent
  • Tyler Lockett
  • Sam McCullum
  • DK Metcalf
  • Koren Robinson
  • Golden Tate

The Seahawks began their franchise with one of the best receivers in Steve Largent who had a 14-year NFL career with league career records for receptions (819), yards (13,089), touchdowns (100), consecutive games with a reception (177), 50-catch seasons (10), and 1,000-yard seasons (8). Largent became the first Seahawks player to be elected to the Pro Football Hall of Fame on July 29, 1995. And with that kind of impact, his name is of course all throughout the Seahawks' record book. Sam McCullum also played at the same time as Largent, after starting the first two years of his career in Minnesota.

Both Tyler Lockett and DK Metcalf have been chasing those records and are even near surpassing some of them. Lockett, in his 10th season, ranks second behind Largent in a few records -- receptions (642), yards (8,378) and receiving touchdowns (60). And Metcalf currently needs 142 receiving yards to pass Largent for the most in a player's first six seasons in franchise history with 6,042 and needs one receiving touchdown to pass him for the most in a player's first six seasons in franchise history with 47.

Along with that, Seahawks fans have watched receivers Doug Baldwin, Golden Tate and Jermaine Kearse help the Seahawks to the first Seahawks Super Bowl win in franchise history when the Seahawks went 13-3 and beat the Denver Broncos 43-8.

Alex Bannister, Brian Blades, Nate Burleson, Bobby Engram, Joey Galloway, Darrell Jackson, Paul Johns and Koren Robinson have all made and left their impact on the Seahawks franchise throughout the years and are all also eligible for the Top 50. You can find their bios and vote for them here.

The Seahawks franchise will celebrate its 50th anniversary in 2025 so in honor of its 50th season, we are recognizing some of the greatest players to play in Seattle. The 12s have the opportunity to vote for the top 50 players in franchise history, with 163 players being eligible. Take a look at all 163 players that met the criteria for the vote and cast your ballots here.
