The Seahawks hold 10 picks in next week's draft and will also sign undrafted free agents after the seven rounds come to an end. With that in mind, and with voluntary offseason workouts beginning Monday, the team freed up more roster space by waiving five players on Monday:
- DT Jarrod Hewitt
- CB Chris Steele
- RB Darwin Thompson
- WR Connor Wedington
- WR Easop Winston
None of those players appeared in regular season games for the Seahawks last season, and of that group only Thompson, who appeared in 26 games for Kansas City from 2019-2020, and Winston, who played three games for New Orleans in 2021, have regular-season experience.
With those moves, the Seahawks currently have 52 players on their 90-man roster.
