SEATTLE, Wash. — The Seattle Seahawks improved to 9-4-1 on the season and clinched the NFC West division after defeating the Los Angeles Rams 24-3 on Thursday Night Football inside CenturyLink Field.
Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson completed 19 of 26 passes and threw for 229 yards on the day with three touchdowns and one interception. Wilson, who completed 73.1 percent of his passes against the Rams, found Luke Willson, Doug Baldwin and Tyler Lockett for each score, with Lockett's touchdown going 57 yards to help seal the game.
Lockett finished the game with seven receptions for 130 yards in addition to the touchdown. Baldwin finished with five catches and posted 35 yards.
Led by rookie quarterback Jared Goff, the Rams struggled to generate much on offense as the No. 1 overall pick made his fifth straight pro start. Goff completed only 13 of 25 passes for 135 yards and managed to guide Los Angeles to one scoring drive, which came via a field goal. Goff, who was sacked four times by the Seahawks defense, was forced to leave the game in the fourth quarter after taking a shot from Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman. He did not return.
The Rams were held to just 183 net yards of total offense.
