Earlier this week, Earl Thomas said he's "not really surprised" the Seattle defense only had three interceptions heading into his team's Week 10 game against the Arizona Cardinals at CenturyLink Field.
The free safety was surprised, though, that his two picks were leading the team, because in his words, "I've dropped so many picks in my career."
But Thomas didn't drop a pick in the first quarter of Sunday's game, intercepting Arizona quarterback Carson Palmer in the Seattle end zone on a third-down play that helped keep the score even at 0-0. The play, which halted a 15-play, 75-yard Arizona drive, pushed Thomas' team-lead in interceptions to three and marked Palmer's first red-zone interception of the season.
