More ballots were cast in Wilson's favor than that of Detroit Lions quarterback Matthew Stafford and Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, the two other players up for Air Player of the Week.
On top of the player award, a $2,000 donation will be made in Wilson's name to the American Red Cross chapter in Seattle. According to the NFL, the funding is used "to help assist the American Red Cross in its efforts to provide relief and health services to Americans nationwide."
