CHICAGO—The Seahawks are dealing with an unusual amount of injuries, particularly on defense, but they will have starting cornerback Shaquill Griffin for Monday night's game against the Bears. Griffin was listed as questionable on Saturday's injury report, but Seahawks coach Pete Carroll said the second-year corner was likely to play.
Seattle's other Week 1 starter at cornerback, Tre Flowers, will not play, however, the result of a hamstring injury that had him listed as doubtful. Also listed as doubtful and inactive are guard D.J. Fluker and safety Delano Hill.
The Seahawks had already ruled out starting linebackers Bobby Wagner and K.J. Wright prior to the game, as well as receiver Doug Baldwin. With Wright and Wagner both out, just-signed free-agent linebacker Mychal Kendricks is active and should have a big role in Monday night's game. Two defensive tackles who were inactive last week, Nazair Jones and Poona Ford, are active this week.
Also active are two players recently promoted off the practice squad, receiver Keenan Reynolds and safety Shalom Luani.
