Kam Chancellor held his annual 'Bam Bam Spring Jam' this past weekend in his hometown of Norfolk, Virginia, where the festivities included a cocktail reception and silent auction, a community cookout, a 'Bowling with the Stars' event and celebrity basketball game featuring Chancellor, Richard Sherman, Brandon Browner, Tyler Lockett, Arizona's Larry Fitzgerald and Tyrann Mathieu, retired NFL stars Marshawn Lynch and Michael Vick, future Hall-of-Fame NBA star Allen Iverson, and more who came out in support of Chancellor's 'Kam Cares' foundation.
"It's important for our community, which is small, to see that it's possible to make it out, to have a dream and actually live your dream," Chancellor told Seahawks.com last week. "I want to come back and pay it forward to the kids. It's also important because I want my neighborhood to be a family. I want us to be together, not divided. I want to stop bullying, all the issues we have. I want everyone to be closer to one another. It's a unity thing, we all need each other."
