Photos of the 12s, the buses, and route to SeaTac Airport where the Seahawks boarded the plane to Arizona for Super Bowl 49.
Good afternoon, 12s.
Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Sunday, Jan. 25 - about your Seattle Seahawks:
#SeahawksSendOff
The Seahawks have arrived in the Arizona desert one week ahead of Sunday Bowl XLIX against the New England Patriots.
Early Sunday, they received a remarkable farewell in Seattle, with thousands of 12s turning out to the city of SeaTac to see the team off.
Head coach Pete Carroll is scheduled to meet with the media at the team's hotel at approximately 2 p.m. PT. He'll be followed by media availabilities with quarterback Russell Wilson, cornerback Richard Sherman, free safety Earl Thomas, left tackle Russell Okung, wide receiver Jermaine Kearse, and defensive end Michael Bennett.
We'll stream coach Carroll's press conference live right here at Seahawks.com and follow up on what Wilson, Sherman, Thomas, Okung, Kearse, and Bennett have to say later this afternoon.
In the meantime, check out how @Seahawks, players, and coaches reacted to Sunday's Super Bowl send-off:
Tweet of the Day
Today's "Tweet of the Day"Â comes from @ESPNNFL, which notes if Carroll's club wins Super Bowl XLIX, he'll become the first coach in history to win two AP National Titles (USC) and two Super Bowls (Seahawks).
