In 2013, the Seahawks captured their first championship, defeating the Denver Broncos 43-8 in Super Bowl XLVIII. This week, fans got an in-depth look at the 2013 squad via the ‘Season of Boom’ docuseries.
Now, Super Bowl XLVIII MVP Malcolm Smith and many of his 2013 teammates will serve as 12 Flag raisers on Sunday against the Carolina Panthers.
Often, the 12 Flag Raiser is an individual connected to the team or area, but there have been special cases, including last January, the “Day One” Inaugural 1976 season ticket holders were bestowed the honor at Lumen Field. On Sunday a big crowd of Seahawks Legends will join Smith for the ceremony.
The Super Bowl XLVIII team was back in town for the 10-year anniversary and caught up with old teammates at dinner events throughout the weekend.
