Seahawks rookies took over on Sunday in a 19-9 win over the Cardinals, and on Tuesday, a pair of them were nominated for Pepsi's Zero Sugar Rookie of the Week award.
The ball continues to find rookie cornerback Tariq Woolen as he recorded an interception and fumble recovery during Week 6, in addition to five tackles and a pass defensed. This marks the fourth consecutive week with an interception for the fifth rounder, the first rookie since 2010 to pull off the streak.
On the other side of the ball, Kenneth Walker III showed off the dynamic running ability that led to the Seahawks selecting him in the second round (No. 40 overall) in the 2022 NFL Draft. In his first career start, Walker rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown to go along with 13 receiving yards. His performance wasn't just impressive for a first-year player, it also earned him a nomination for the FedEx Ground Player of the Week award.
