The Seahawks are excited to highlight our black-owned vendors of Lumen Field like Emma's BBQ, Cooka T's Kitchen, and Jones BBQ.

Leading up to gameday, the Seahawks asked Seahawks Legends Doug Baldwin Jr.and Marcus Trufant, as well as Black Future Co-op Fund CEO T'wina Nobles, what Black Philanthropy means to them.

Doug Baldwin Jr. on partnering with the Black Future Co-op Fund:

"We are grateful for organizations like Black Future Co-op because they understand the work. We set out on a mission to genuinely serve and we knew that an innovative model was necessary to meet the root needs of our community. Black Future Co-op understood that too and supported our efforts with a generous donation that helps make our work possible."

Baldwin Jr. on the importance of the Black Future Co-op Fund:

"Supporting black owned businesses is an effort to support the health and well-being of a demographic that has been historically marginalized and underinvested. By investing in black businesses, we are supporting the health and prosperity of future generations."

T'wina Nobles, CEO of Black Future Co-op Fund, on the importance of Philanthropy and supporting community.

"Black people are generous, thoughtful, and philanthropic. We always have been. We inherited our philanthropic nature from our ancestors. Black Philanthropy Month is an opportunity to celebrate and amplify Black generosity and encourage investments in Black brilliance, Black innovation, Black joy, Black futures and truthful Black narratives."

Marcus Trufant on partnering with the Black Future Co-op Fund:

"The partnership with Black Future Co-op Fund has had a profound impact on our foundation. Their support has enabled us to extend our reach and provide more resources to young people and families in our community. On a personal level, it deepens our commitment to giving back and ensuring that our efforts continue to make a meaningful difference."

Trufant on why it's important to invest in Black businesses in the community:

"Investing in Black businesses is essential because it strengthens the economic foundation of our community. Supporting Black entrepreneurs not only empowers individuals but also creates jobs, fosters innovation, and ensures that our community continues to thrive. It's an investment in our collective future and the prosperity of our community."

As a thank you for helping the Seahawks support Black Philanthropy Month, we are hosting a Jersey Giveaway on the Pro Shop accounts.
