Good morning, 12s.
Here's a look at what's "out there" for today - Wednesday, Oct. 28 - about your Seattle Seahawks:
Michael Bennett Honored
Seahawks defensive end Michael Bennett has been named the NFC's Defensive Player of the Week for his performance this past Thursday night in his team's 20-3 win over the San Francisco 49ers.
Bennett collected a career-high 3.5 sacks of Niners quarterback Colin Kaepernick, the second-most sacks registered by a single player in a game this year. Bennett upped his 2015 sack total to 6.5, tied for the NFL lead and just a half-sack behind the number of sacks (7) he finished with last season.
Bennett's effort paced what was a season-high six-sack effort by the Seahawks, the second-most times Kaepernick has been sacked in a single game. The Seattle defense held the 49ers to 142 total yards, the lowest output by an NFL team this year.
It's the first career Player of the Week award for Bennett, who becomes the fourth Seahawks defensive end to be honored, joining the likes of Jacob Green, Chris Clemons, and Michael McCrary.

Today's "Tweet of the Day" comes from Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, who joins Conan O'Brien for a session of of Call of Duty: Black Ops 3, a video game that features Lynch as the first athlete to ever appear in a Call of Duty game.
