Good morning, 12s.

Here's a look at what's "out there" for today – Wednesday, April 13 – about your Seattle Seahawks.

Seahawks Players React to on Kobe Bryant's Retirement

Los Angeles Lakers great Kobe Bryant is playing the final game of his 20-year career Wednesday night, and the future Hall of Famer has plenty of fans in the Seattle Seahawks locker room.

Cornerback Richard Sherman, who grew up a Lakers fan in Compton, Calif., talked about being a Bryant fan in December when the 18-time All-Star announced he would retire after the 2015-16 season. Bryant also appeared in Sherman's celebrity softball game two years ago, and Sherman and Russell Wilson both appeared in a recent Nike ad celebrating Bryant's career.

Bryant, the Lakers and the NBA have long been a topic of conversation and debate in Seattle's locker room. Southern California-based players like Sherman and former Seahawks safety Jeron Johnson would often get into playful arguments with teammates who preferred LeBron James' game, or with Floridians, such as Doug Baldwin, who are Miami Heat fans.

Safety Steven Terrell said he isn't much of a Bryant fan, but still respects his game:

Guard Justin Britt tried to buy a new pair of Kobe shoes today, but struck out.
