2019 Wear Blue: Run to Remember Dinner
The Wear Blue organization has a youth mentorship program for children who have lost their parent in Combat overseas. This mentorship program links the child with an active duty service member. This mentor provides his or her youth a glimpse into the life of service that defined his or her fallen parent, while participating in the life affirming action of running. The Seahawks and the Wear Blue organization partnered together in honor of Salute to Service month to put on a dinner event for the Gold Star children. Seahawks Legends Paul Johns and Edwin Bailey joined the children at Cliff House Restaurant in Tacoma, Washington , to speak about questions around adversity and perseverance.
