I am proud that I have a parent serving our country. One of my favorite things about them being in the National Guard is the travel we get to experience and the people we get to meet.

Shelly (18)
My favorite thing about having a parent in the US service is all of the neat places I am able to see, and all of the people I get to meet.

Yuri (13)
My mom and dad inspire me because they are so strong and brave. They are teaching me great life lessons and preparing me for adulthood.

Mackenzie (15)
The National Guard Association of WA will have an impact on my life because I will get to meet more kids with parents in the military and get to know them. I can see this program impacting my future because I will be more conscious about the life decisions I have to make, and I will learn to be outgoing and push myself to help others.

Sabrina (17)
I am always looking forward to improving my leadership skills by seeing others be leaders. Seeking opportunities and events for military youth and my community. I am able to learn organization methods, marketing techniques, and environmental behavior.

Nycholaus (16)
Although both of my parents serve in the Army and may be gone for extended periods of time, they have provided me the opportunity have a wider span of options to do with my life. It has shaped me into the person that I am today.

Karah (17)
I plan to go to the University of Washington after I graduate High School, serve in the Air Force, and then become a social worker. I've always wanted to serve my years in the military. After I do retire, my dream job is helping kids get out of bad homes. I also plan to foster kids when I'm an adult.

Ashlyn (15)
Somebody who inspires me is Big Sean. Big Sean grew up in Detroit with nothing and despite all the doubts he overcame and followed his dreams and became a well known rapper and never forgot where he came from. To this day he still gives back to his community and helps kids that shoes he was in to follow there dreams and that nothing is impossible no matter your situation.

Leila (12)
My time with the National Guard Association of WA will impact my future by giving me and whomever I associate with the appreciation for our Military that they do deserve. I will do my best to uphold our Military and their sacrifice to the best of my ability.
