I love all the freedom we get to express ourselves. The ability to express myself through singing, acting, and dancing is why I started musical theatre. Village Theatre is a place where I can forget about all my stresses and do what I love with the people that I love.

Village Theatre is an essential part of my identity. I've described myself as a "KIDSTAGE Kid" since 5th grade, and I'm a senior now! I really grew up at Village. I owe them for teaching me how to work hard, put passion in my work, empathize with others, and not take myself too seriously!

Village focuses on the words "Skills for Theatre, Skills for Life." I truly agree with this statement. So much of who I am as a person has been developed at Village. I think theatre is a great way to learn how to collaborate with others and learn how to work together, and that is definitely a skill I will use in the future.

I've become a lot more social and overall a more talented actor due to the Village Theatre programs, and they're what inspired me to start acting in my school. Without those programs, I would never have joined my schools acting program, and I wouldn't know what I want to do with my life in the future.

Ever since I came to village I've loved the community. Everyone is so kind and nonjudgmental. Village Theatre has always been my safe space and its an outlet for positive vibes, even when life has been difficult for me. I've learned so much from taking classes there and I've grown immensely and a performer and as a person. My closest friends are at Village and I'm so glad to be apart of a space of fellow performers and teachers that love the same things I do, while also being some of the kindest and warmest people I know.

Being in productions at KIDSTAGE have been the highlights and best parts of the last five years of my life. I have learned so much about myself as a performer and person because of KIDSTAGE. They have taught me how to be a leader, how to use my voice in a way to change the world and lastly, given me the most important thing in my life: theatre. I have enjoyed getting to grow up in a community where I am accepted for me and who I am.
