Photo Diary - Sea Gals #12Tour Canada
Sea Gals Jessica I., Courtney, Zoe and Jackie check in from the Seahawks 12 Tour stops in Bellingham, Vancouver, Victoria and several stops between.

Our first stop in Bellingham for the 12 Tour was a visit with a Wounded Warrior and his family. As all Wounded Warrior visits go, this was a surprise! We arrived in full force with Doug Baldwin, Red Bryant and Blitz of course! We met Captain David Libby and the surprise on his face was priceless! He has been serving in the Washington Army National Guard for 23 years but will be retiring soon. (continued ...)

(... continued) The family invited us all into their home with a gorgeous view of Mount Baker. We took a few photos and talked about David's time serving overseas and this is when Courtney and I met our new friend Isabella, David's 3 years old daughter who was a little shy at first. Though, it appeared she was more concerned about "that bird" than she was us. We thanked Captain Libby for his service and letting us come into his home. We gave Isabella a nice big hug and then headed to our next stop on the 12 Tour.

The crowd was all ears as Richard Sherman and Doug Baldwin took the stage for the celebrity flag football draft Saturday evening, at the Village Taphouse in West Vancouver. Both players were asked to draft flag football teams, and were more than willing to act out their parts as general managers. In fact, they put together quite an entertaining show as both tried to one up the other by selecting the best players. The list Sherman and Baldwin had to work with was a selection of local celebrities, athletes, and media personalities. The drafted players were given their draft jersey along with a photograph with their drafting general manager Sherman or Baldwin.

Bright and early on Monday morning, The Sea Gals, Doug Baldwin, Red Bryant, and Blitz made our way over to the University of British Columbia Golf Course for the 12 North Golf Classic. This golf tournament was put together by our lovely hosts, Seahawks Canada, to benefit a local charity in Vancouver, BC. The Sea Gals had a great time greeting golfers at the putting green and we even had the chance to put our golfing skills to the test! (continued...)

(... continued) While Jessica and Courtney roamed the course with Red Bryant, Zoe and I went with Doug Baldwin to tour the links in style with the Mahony and Sons stretch golf cart that seated up to 6 people! Not only did we stop to visit with the participants of the tournament, but we also stopped to greet and thank some of the workers in the golf course as well. After the tournament was over, all the golfers gathered together in the club house for brunch and a Question & Answer session with Doug Baldwin. (continue...)

(... continued) Growing up with most of my family living in Vancouver, I would visit this city multiple times a month, so I am well aware of the fact that hockey is the sport of Vancouver and Canucks fans are flooding the city. However, during this trip, it was so humbling to see how many loyal Seahawks fans we have up here too! Throughout the weekend, I had the chance to meet a large amount of local Vancouver residents who are Season Ticket Holders and make the long drive from Canada to Seattle every single game day! That's dedication. It truly warms my heart to see the fan base of the Seattle Seahawks grow larger every year in a city that I call my second home. Thanks to every 12 North fan who made our 12 Tour stop in Canada amazing! See you on game day! Go Hawks!

After the golf tournament on Monday, Jessica and I were whisked away to Victoria, BC in a helicopter! Upon landing, we were warmly greeted and welcomed by the airport employees who were all huge Seahawk fans. We were immediately taken to the autograph signing at Jersey City in the Mayfair Mall. Jessica and I were able to meet and take pictures with a huge line of fans who had been anxiously waiting for hours. The line went through the mall and wrapped around a corner filled with Seahawk fans. As Doug Baldwin entered the mall, the screams and cheers from the fans could probably be heard from the parking lot and the local news was there to capture every moment. (continued...)

(... continued) Jessica and I were not only taking pictures and signing autographs, but we also had the very important job of getting all the Canadian fans to sign the 12 flag which will be flown at the Canada Day game this season. They were so excited to know that even though they couldn't attend the game, a part of them would be in the stadium. Since there were so many fans that made their way out to meet Doug Baldwin and ourselves, we stayed later to make sure we were able to get a chance to meet and thank each person who came. This was the first time that the Seahawks had visited Victoria, and the very appreciative fans were still in shock that we were there. Victoria was a great way to end our portion of the 12 Tour. It was so amazing to see how many fans the Seahawks have not only in the States, but in Canada as well. After doing the 12 Tour, I am even more excited for this season to start. Go Hawks!
