The defending Super Bowl champion Seahawks kickoff the 2014 NFL season with a Thursday Night Football game against the Green Bay Packers on Sept. 4 at CenturyLink Field. In the Packers' last visit to the Emerald City (Sept. 24, 2012), quarterback Aaron Rodgers was sacked eight times in the first half alone, as the Seahawks earned a last-second win on a Hail Mary toss from quarterback Russell Wilson to wide receiver Golden Tate.
The Seahawks travel down the California coast in Week 2 for a Sept. 14 matchup at the home of the San Diego Chargers. The battle with the AFC West foe takes place less than a month after a preseason game between the same two clubs, which is set for Aug. 15 at CenturyLink Field.
The defending AFC champion Denver Broncos visit the Seahawks on Sept. 21 in a Super Bowl XLVIII rematch at CenturyLink Field. The Seahawks triumphed over the Broncos, 43-8, this past February, securing the first Lombardi Trophy in franchise history.

The only team to beat the Seahawks at home a season ago pays a visit to CenturyLink Field in Week 12. The Cardinals walked away with a 17-10 win the last time they played in Seattle, a game that marked the first home loss in quarterback Russell Wilson's young career (17-1, including playoffs).

Finally, the Seahawks close the year against the NFC West rival St. Louis Rams for the third straight season and fourth time in the past five years - all matchups that saw Seattle come out on top.
