PHOTOS: Seahawks Visit Hood Famous In Celebration Of AAPI Month

On Monday, February 24, ONYX, the Seahawks Black Employee Resource Group, and the Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) team hosted a special Black History Month event, Celebrating Black eXcellence, at the Virginia Mason Athletic Center. Attendees had the opportunity to explore an inspiring history walk that highlighted key moments of Black achievement, enjoy a selection of curated bites, and participate in a powerful panel discussion featuring influential Black professionals in the world of sports.

In partnership with Intentionalist, the Seahawks hosted a special Happy Hour with the Seahawks at Legion Sports Bar in celebration of Black History Month on February 11, 2025. Fans and Seahawks representatives came together to honor Black-owned businesses and celebrate the rich cultural contributions of the Black community.

The Seahawks celebrated Lunar New Year with a talented calligrapher crafting personalized names and fortunes for employees as a way to honor tradition and welcome good luck and prosperity for the year ahead.

The Seahawks continue to celebrate small businesses and surprised an Intentionalist and Happy Hour with the Hawks business, Fat's Chicken and Waffles, with a custom jersey. Seahawks employee resource group leaders and past Truth and Purpose Tour participants joined the event. Fat's Chicken and Waffles participated in the small and minority-owned restaurant program this past season.

The Seahawks visited a Hispanic-owned restaurant, Frelard Tamales, in Seattle, Wash. on Thursday, September 19, 2024 to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month.

The Seahawks employee resource group, BLOSSOM, spent the afternoon at Wing Luke Museum and were guided to local restaurants for a food tour in downtown Seattle, WA.

The Seahawks joined up with Creative Justice to celebrate Juneteenth at the Liberation for All event on Thursday, June 20, 2024.

Seahawks visited Fats Chicken and Waffles, an LGBTQ+ owned restaurant to celebrate Pride Month.

The Seahawks and Delta Air Lines presented Bellevue High School social studies teacher Luke Michener with the Delta Community Captain for his excellence in education, specifically his support for experiential learning with the Institute for Common Power and his advocacy for the Truth & Purpose learning tours.

Seahawks Legend Lofa Tatupu and Seahawks staff members visited Franklin High School to hold a panel for AANHPI month on May 30, 2024.

The Seahawks, in collaboration with Intentionalist, took over Pam's Kitchen in Seattle, Wash. in celebration of Women's History Month.

The Seahawks, along with other Seattle sports teams, came together to participate in the Seattle Pride Parade in downtown Seattle on June 26, 2022.
